The Consortium is a unique public-private partnership by virtue of its structure. It is made up of major utilities, global-scale technology developers, leading academic and research institutions, and government and quasi-government entities.
The Consortium membership has vast experience across the energy and utilities space both in New York, nationally, and abroad. Represented organizations include New York State’s energy research and regulatory agencies, multiple investor-owned utilities, renewable and smart technology firms active in solar, fuel cells, and automated grid controls, and leading academic and research institutions with a strong focus on energy and grid problem solving. The Consortium membership offers unrivaled perspective and expertise with which to tackle the most pressing needs in the electric distribution space in New York State and elsewhere.
