The New York State Smart Grid Consortium is a unique public-private partnership that promotes broad statewide implementation of a safe, secure, and reliable smart grid.
It is the only organization of its scale in the United States and is committed to representing all major contributors across the entire energy value chain, including utilities, market operators, private industry, academia, government, and end-users.
The Consortium is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 corporation. It was founded in 2008 when leaders determined that meaningful progress toward modernizing our electric infrastructure required the inclusion of all stakeholders to define and work toward a common vision, to optimize and coordinate public funding, and to support collaborative research and development.
