Clean Energy Leader Alicia Barton Is New NYSERDA President and CEO
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has appointed Alicia Barton President and Chief Executive Officer. With more than a decade of experience in leading clean energy projects and organizations in both the private and the public sectors, Ms. Barton most recently served at Foley Hoag LLP, Boston, MA, as co-chair of the law firm’s Energy & Cleantech practice. As President and CEO of NYSERDA she succeeds John B. Rhodes, who served as NYSERDA CEO since 2013 and is now Chair of the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC). Both NYSERDA and the PSC are Consortium members. Richard Kauffman, Chairman of Energy and Finance for New York State, noted that Ms. Barton’s “dedication and commitment to driving clean energy resources and technologies will help us advance Governor Cuomo’s Reforming the Energy Vision and benefit all New Yorkers.” Click here to read more.
