The Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) initiative has launched a REV Campus Challenge, encouraging universities to pledge to implement clean projects on campus. The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the New York Power Authority (NYPA) recently announced that 55 New York colleges and universities joined the challenge and have committed to demonstrating clean energy leadership in greenhouse gas emission reduction, research, and development, curricula integration, and community engagement. Institutions will create roadmaps to manage energy, with resources to create these roadmaps provided by NYSERDA and NYPA.
