A Community Microgrid Grows in Brooklyn
There are about 160 microgrids in the U.S. currently, according to a report by GTM Research. One of them—a robust community effort—is being developed in Brooklyn, NY. A number of residents in the Gowanus and the Park Slope areas of the borough have come together to establish a solar-powered community microgrid that provides locally generated power security within the community.
