The New York State Department of Public Service now has a formal directive from Governor Andrew Cuomo to develop and enact a Clean Energy Standard to ensure that 50% of electric power consumed in the state come from clean, renewable energy sources by 2030. “As discussions [on climate change] continue in Paris, we are taking real, enforceable actions in New York to lay the foundation for a thriving clean energy economy,” Governor Cuomo noted.
