New Solar Farm at Ithaca College
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Ithaca College announced the completion of a solar array installation at the college. Ithaca College will now receive 10 percent of annual electricity from solar power, which will help the college meet the goals of their Climate Action Plan – to become 100 percent carbon neutral by 2050. The project received funding through Governor Cuomo’s NY-Sun initiative, which is administered by NYSERDA and aims to improve the solar industry in New York. With the generation of clean energy and the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, this is yet another step to help New York achieve its Clean Energy Standard. Read more from NYSERDA here.
