New Study from NYSSGC Profiles Attitudes of NY Consumers Toward Energy-Related Issues
To gain deeper insights into the views of New Yorkers on key energy-related issues, the New York State Smart Grid Consortium (Consortium) sponsored New York Consumer Pulse, which examines key measures of consumer awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and perceived benefits as they relate to smart-grid enabled programs and technologies. The study was conducted in partnership with the Smart Grid Consumer Collaborative. In addition to consumer attitudes, the study also addresses the consumer-utility relationship, barriers preventing deeper consumer engagement in energy initiatives, and consumers’ level of awareness about Reforming the Energy Vision (REV), New York State’s initiative to build a cleaner, more resilient, and affordable energy system.
