The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), on behalf of the state, has been chosen to coordinate the development of offshore wind resources with New York State agencies. Taking a leadership role in this effort, NYSERDA has spearheaded the New York State Offshore Wind Master Plan, which provides a roadmap to reaching the state’s goal of 2,400 MW of offshore wind energy generation by 2030 while being sensitive to environmental, maritime, economic, and social issues.
